Multistudio Welcomes Mariana Lavezzo to the Education Design Team

October 28, 2024

Mariana Lavezzo has joined Multistudio’s education design team as Client Leader and Education Planning Specialist. With nearly two decades of experience in designing high-performance learning environments, Mariana is committed to expanding Multistudio’s education portfolio of inclusive, student-centered spaces that promote connection and drive student success.

Mariana’s journey in school design began 16 years ago while working on international school projects, as she explains:

“I found my passion for planning and designing schools when I began working internationally, learning about different pedagogies and cultures, acting as a cross-pollinator of ideas to support transformation for the future.”

Mariana is an advocate for active outdoor learning spaces, and her commitment to a collaborative, inclusive design process has made her a leader in the field. Mariana’s design approach places students at the center of the process, ensuring that their needs and voices are central in every project. Her experience includes key roles at LPA Design Studios and DLR Group.

Mariana will be based in Multistudio’s San Francisco office and will work closely with our Kansas City colleagues, including Dr. Michael Ralph, Director of Education, and David Reid, who leads our Education Design practice. She will guide the office’s research-driven and multidisciplinary approach to designing schools that not only inspire learning but also support teacher wellness and community well-being.

“I am thrilled to be a part of Multistudio, where I will help guide the design of high-performance schools that support teacher wellness and help students thrive as they become learning experts.”

With a strong track record of supporting educational institution’s visions for the future, Mariana will play a key role in driving innovation across Multistudio’s projects, particularly in developing net-zero, high-performance environments that reflect the communities they serve.

We look forward to the impact Mariana’s leadership and passion will bring to Multistudio as we continue to shape the future of education design. Stay tuned as our education design team grows and embarks on new, innovative projects that inspire the next generation of learners.
